Mrs. Eliza De Wolf

This is a drawing I did to submit to an art-show about feminism. It’s a scene from history in 1866, when Eliza De Wolf was arrested in San Fransisco for wearing pants.
Hey everyone! I’ve decided to release a digital version of my first one-shot comic “G’night Old Man.” I did this comic a year ago and it was my first complete comic project. I enjoyed drawing it and I hope you enjoy scrolling through it. Check it out!
Yesterday I participated in the annual Hourly Comics Day. It was challenging and a lot of fun. I found it really hard to try to pair down my thoughts and what I wanted to do. I have a problem with ideas blowing up really huge and getting away from me. It was also super hard to keep up doing these while having a 9-5 job. I took notes and penciled a bulk of them over my lunch break and had to wait to ink until I got home. It was still a lot of fun and I plan on doing it again next year. I still haven’t done a 24 hour comic. Doing this really put that exercise into perspective for me. I’ll do one someday soon. We’ll see… Hope you enjoy.
Carrie Brownstein…
I’ve been a huge fan of Carrie Brownstein since I was in high school. Sleater Kinney was my favorite band and I worshiped each of the members. All of them have gone on to do other projects or bands. I’m still an avid follower and fan of each of them. Here’s a little drawing of Carrie… Done in nib/no.3 brush
A recent project…
I was recently commissioned to draw a short mini-comic for a friend to give to his girlfriend. I was asked to draw a blend of the guy commissioning the drawings and Muzzy the cartoon character from the language aid videos. Here’s some of the drawings from the book.
